IMPORTANT FACTS and QUESTIONS YOU SHOULD ASK

To be properly armed with information and facts makes you, the consumer, a smarter buyer or investor. Wouldn’t you agree? That is why we have produced this sheet. It is a combination of our 20 years of real life professional experiences, mistakes, trials and errors compiled so that you the consumer, won’t have to spend the same time and money on these mistakes.  This sheet contains a number of important facts and some questions for you to ask yourself, in order that we might serve you, your carpets, and furniture better. We at Clean and Dry Today know you work hard for your money and this information could potentially save you thousands of hard earned dollars and countless amounts of aggravation.  Pay particular attention to sections on indoor pollution problems, which could contribute to future health issues. Ok, let’s look at some facts.

Did you know that

  1. Most carpet cleaning companies employ highly toxic chemicals. In contrast, Clean and Dry Today’s highly effective cleaning solution introduces no dangers to your home, family or pets.
  2. Commercial cleaning companies and methods are for COMMERCIAL PURPOSES. Truck mounted systems are designed that way for a reason.  Harsh chemicals are considered effective and warranted to clean highly trafficked areas that may see thousands of people per day.   Most commercial grade carpeting in these establishments has no padding between the woven carpet and cement flooring.  The absence of padding and wood flooring under the carpet can withstand the 200 degree water and chemicals.  Residential carpeting is DIFFERENT.  Fine carpeting and padding will buckle and lose their shape under the scalding hot water and chemicals.  Flooring underneath residential carpeting, including wood will mold and rot over time under the constant damp conditions.

 3.   200 degree water and harsh commercial grade toxic chemicals can …..

A) Pose a real heath risk to you and your loved ones, including pets, (Mold, mildew, bacteria)

B) Suck the color and life right out of your carpets and furniture,

C) Strip off the scotch-guard protection that your carpet was manufactured with? (Note that other companies will then charge you extra money to replace this striped off scotch-guarding.)

D) Will eventually damage the carpet fibers, the backing or jute (like burlap), the sizing, glue, (which holds the carpet together,) padding, and flooring underneath. (Did you ever visit a house where the carpet looks too loose or are rippled?  Blame truck mounted cleaning!)

E) Do a lousy job at cleaning? There are currently 5 other methods of cleaning that do a much

Better job. Not only cleaning better, but also staying cleaner for longer periods of time.

F) Waste your hard earned money and / or time and effort by actually making carpets and furniture

     worse and beyond help?

  1. There are two types of dirt? Loose dirt and soil. Most companies won’t vacuum first as this takes

too much time and effort. Even if they did vacuum, they are ill-equipped to remove the loose dirt

to adequately prepare the carpet for washing. That is why you may have experienced darkened

traffic areas after being washed or perhaps dirt developing around the outer perimeter of the

room. By not extracting loose dirt first, the added water creates mud

and pushes the mud down beyond where they can extract it back out. Their theory is that the flood of water “suspends the dirt.”  Testing shows the opposite.  Only the topmost water in the carpet will suspend some dirt.  The majority of more damaging dirt is pushed deeper into the carpet and padding, thus making it near impossible to fully remove.

Many companies try to take advantage of people with a tactic called “low-balling” We have all received those coupons in the mail that quote an outrageously low price.  However, when these company salesmen arrive at your home, theydo what they can to raise the price from what you were quoted. (If it seems too good to be true….it usually is)

  1. Most cleaning companies are in and out of your home in no time at all to get to the next job, because they are paid by the volume of jobs they complete. (As with most, their goal is to do as many jobs as possible, taking as much money as possible, and they don’t care if you call again.) In contrast we are interested in repeat business, so we take our time and do a thorough job.

Are they taking a half hour to an hour per room like us? Good jobs take time.

Now that you are armed with just a few facts regarding other methods of cleaning we know you will choose Clean and Dry Today. We take our time and do a thorough job. When most other companies are done a room in 10 minutes, we take on average, an hour per room. We use nothing but the highest quality cleaners which are both non-toxic and biodegradable which means they are safe for your family. We don’t use harsh, toxic chemicals or saturate your carpet with scalding hot water. When we are finished with your carpets, the backing is bone dry, therefore no damage is done to your carpets, pads, or floors underneath. We extract the deep loose dirt first with a high powered vacuum. Your carpet is now prepared for washing with a shaving cream-like foam which attracts the soil up to it, and cleans until dry which occurs in a matter of a few hours. We also add a color brightener at no extra cost (to enhance the look of the carpet or furniture.) We don’t strip off the scotch-guard protectant on your carpets and furniture; in fact, we actually add more to increase the protection (again at no extra cost.) We give you deodorizers to kill any odors (also at no extra cost.) We stand by our work and we guarantee your satisfaction or we come back free or return your money. That is how sure we are that our products are the best, our method is the best, our equipment is the best, and the owner himself is the absolute pickiest and comes to clean your carpets and furniture himself.      Here are 10 big reasons for quick reference.

1.    We take more time to do a thorough job. (Time is $)

2.    We have the best products. (Good stuff is expensive)

3.    We have a better method. (To help keep up your investment)

4.    We use more product on your carpets. (Sometimes doing carpets twice.)

5.            We use more effort. (We take pride in our work and care)

6.            We give away 3 times more extras. (Protecting your investment)

7.            We are use a safe and healthy method (Protecting you and your loved ones)

8.            We get your carpets and furniture cleaner than anyone.

9.            We can’t be compared to anyone. (By any standards, including $.)

    10.  We are the best and you deserve the best!

So you want to compare our prices to other companies? Consider this…most don’t vacuum,  and don’t spend the time or effort that we do at cleaning.  They do however use harmful chemicals, use the cheaper methods of cleaning with cheaper chemicals, charge extra to move furniture, to spot clean, or for disinfectant, deodorizers, and scotch-guard protectants.

By using one of these companies, you are in fact making our job harder when we go back to clean up their messes. Most are finished very quickly and the spots in your carpets reappear soon after the carpet dries. In other words, in most cases, you get what you pay for.

Compare... There is no comparison! Don’t be fooled by those low priced gimmicks in the form of coupons or estimates that sound too good to be true over the phone. Again, I used to work for 4 major companies so I know how they try to manipulate the consumer. That’s why I left. You wouldn’t want to support that way of doing business would you? In spite of our superior quality, our prices are still usually lower than theirs when you take into consideration what you are receiving. Most people don’t mind spending a little more for a lot better job.
